FACILITIES’ MANAGER
Overview
DEI BioPharma Ltd., a Drugs and Vaccines Manufacturing Plant is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Faculties’ Manager.
A Facilities Manager ensures the operation, compliance, and maintenance of specialized facilities like laboratories and manufacturing areas. Manage critical systems, budgets, and vendor contracts, ensure adherence to GMP and EHS standards. Implementing preventative maintenance and risk management, supports business continuity and equipment performance. He will also collaborate on long-term facility planning, support audits, and lead teams to maintain a safe, efficient, and compliant environment aligned with organizational goals.
Start date: Candidate must begin working within a reasonable period.
Role and Responsibilities

EDUCATION:
- Minimum Qualifications-Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or Environmental Science.
- Preferred Certifications-Certifications in Facilities or Project Management (e.g., PMP) or Occupational Health and Safety.
- Regulatory Knowledge-Familiarity with Ugandan regulations (NEMA, Ministry of Health, UNBS).
- Industry-Specific Skills-Knowledge of GMP, cleanroom standards, and bio-containment protocols, Experience managing utilities and infrastructure in Uganda.
- Additional Requirements-Proficiency in facilities management software and sustainability practices, Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
- Experience-Minimum 5 years in facilities or operations management, preferably in regulated industries.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

- Expertise in managing building systems (e.g., HVAC, cleanrooms, utilities).
- Knowledge of GMP, EHS, and other biopharma compliance standards.
- Proficiency in facilities management software and tools.
- Ability to plan, execute, and oversee facility projects efficiently.
